Can’t wait to read it! (Is it too soon to start lobbying for a third volume?)

Joanna, I look forward to purchasing a copy of book II. I recently purchased book I and just started reading. You have my Henry Cary ancestor in there, which I was so happy to see new information about him, and the Benjamin Harrison you mentioned who gave permission by way of Henry Cary for the road to pass though his land, was my Benjamin Harrison who married Henry’s daughter Priscilla Cary. My Word family of Buckingham County ties into the Cary family.

Thanks for the update! I liked the picture of your grandmother in the book. I am fortunate enough to have one also of my grandmother Nettie Louise Hackett who was born 1891 in Buckingham, I wonder if perhaps they knew each other.

Thanks, Nancy. I’m delighted to learn that you found new information about your family in “At a Place Called Buckingham”. You can look forward to another photo of my grandmother, Minnie Garland (Harris) Sanger, in Volume Two. You’ll also meet my grandfather, Charles Milan Sanger. Little Minne left Buckingham County when she was just two years old, so she missed knowing your grandmother and growing up Buckingham. Joanne

If I can place a preorder please let me know! 🙂 My grandmother married and left Buckingham for the busier Lynchburg area. But the family cemetery is there, perhaps I’ll get back there one day to visit. Look forward to your book!!
